The Lakes Course

Hole 1
A short par 3 to start your round, the green is a welcoming size yet is surrounded by trouble, well guarded by six pot bunkers three short, as well as three over the green, be wary of the lake to the left of the green, the first hole certainly demands some accuracy with a short iron.

Hole 2
A tough par 3 with a an elevated tee & hitting towards a green guarded by one of the larger lakes on the complex, out of bounds runs down the entire right side of this hole as well as OOB being only 20 paces over the back of the green. A run off area is located to the safer right hand side of the green.

Hole 3
Tee shot- the first par 4 on the complex, a fairway that is split in two due to a lake overflow ditch , this lake and ditch splits the fairway at around 175y (yellow tees) so choose your club wisely off of the tee, your accuracy will also be tested as the ditch also runs down the left side off the fairway! Proceed with caution!
Approach shot- your approach shot also demands accuracy, a shot into an elevated green surrounded by a kidney shaped bunker short left and an fiddly pot bunker short right, navigate both of those and you’ll be rewarded with a put with little break.

Hole 4
This hole plays as a par 3 off both the yellow and red tees, with two lakes that run up the right of the hole & to green side, there are also a couple of pot bunkers that could also make you think twice, three over the green and one short right of the green, this hole could become a serious risk reward hole if you where to play it off the white tees, turning it into a short par 4 at 230y with a narrow opening to the green, as mentioned with lakes to the right and a penalty area to the left also, this hole could make or break your round!

Hole 5
Tee shot- a generously open fairway with wide landing area off the tee, but, don’t be fooled, out of bounds runs down the length of the hole to the left, as well as two lakes strategically placed, one left and one right of the fairway, both around 230y (yellows) from the tee box. Favour the left hand side of the pole for a shorter line into the green.
Approach shot- this approach demands a lot more concentration and accuracy then the tee shot. Hitting into a two tear green (back to front) hitting your ball onto the correct level is of paramount importance if you want a straight putt to close out the hole, do not miss this green left or right else your ball will find the bottom of the deep pot bunkers guarding the green.

Hole 6
NOW! One of the toughest little par 3 holes in the region of our white tees! A small green that looks fairly accessible, but give the lake to the right of the green some respect, else you’ll be reaching in you bag for another ball! Left is safe if you haven’t got the bottle to go pin-seeking off the tee.

Hole 7
A straight forward par 3 which will be welcomed with open arms after you’ve tackled the tricky 6th hole. This hole still has its danger, with two kidney shaped bunkers both left and right of the green, a well struck tee shot is is essential if you want to avoid the deep traps.

Hole 8
A short par 3 at only 108y (yellows) to a fairly large green, again the green is guarded by a large deep pot bunker short of the green as well as two bunkers to the right hand side of the green. Oh yeah, i nearly forgot to mention the final lake on the complex that hugs the left side of this green, again, accuracy is key with a short iron.

Hole 9
Tee shot- This par 4 looks to be an easy finishing hole with a wide fairway in full view! Beware, the fairway narrows substantially at around 210y (yellows), the fairway narrows to allow for two decent sized bunkers both left and right, this gives you food for though when selecting a club for your tee shot.
Approach shot- Once you have successfully navigated your tee shot, a not so straight forward approach shot follows, out of bounds has now creeped inwards towards the fairway and runs down to green side on the right, as you’ll also notice, three bunkers are cleverly placed ready to snag any wayward approach shots either left or right, there is also a frightening deep bunker directly short of the green, this little horror has ruined many rounds in the past and will continue to going forward, make sure it doesn’t ruin your round, go long rather than short!
